Things we had to change:
- The titles and fonts- The titles in our draft had no order, no framing and we didn't like the wording of some of them. The fonts of our titles were also boring and plain white, it wasn't very exciting and didn't appeal to our target audience.
- The timing- After watching it through on a bigger screen we realised there were still a lot of scenes, particularly near the end that should be cut shorted so they seemed more realistic and better quality.
- The sound- We realised the sound quality wasn't very good and at points where the dialogue and music the music didn't dip subtly enough, or quite enough. To improve this we had to record a couple of voiceovers to replace the dialogue which was too quiet to fit with the music. We also still had to add sound effects for example when the alarm went off. To get the sound effects we used a website called Free Sound Project.
- Production logo- We also still had to add in our production company logo; Future Productions. Once we'd done this we had to go back and spend a lot of time improving it as the quality of the picture was poor, and the software we were using wouldn't allow us to add a transition to it. However we eventually managed to change this and make our film look a higher standard by doing so.
- Voiceover- At this point we hadn't managed to record and add in our voiceover so we also had to do that to make our film more interesting and it is also stereotypical of a teen angst to have a voiceover as it tends to be first person or from someone's point of view and we wanted to stick with this convention as we thought it was very effective.
- Cutting- We also decided the scene at the end was unnecessary in our opening scene and didn't make sense following on from the previous scene, the filming and framing of the scene wasn't particularly a high standard of work so we decided to cut it completely.
